Why Join a Credit Union?
A Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial services cooperative. When you open a share account you become a member!
Every year the members elect their Board of Directors which consists of volunteers responsible for making the decisions that determine the best interests of the Credit Union's success.
We differ from banks as a not-for-profit Credit Union because we are able to offer you lower loan rates, higher dividend rates, and fewer service charges.
We as members are "People helping People".
How Your Funds Are Protected
The National Credit Union Administration(NCUA) insures up to $100,000 for all member accounts per member. An Individual Retirement Account(IRA) is insured separately by the NCUA for up to an additional $100,000. The Credit Union also maintains strong reserves and undergoes examinations by both a Certified Public Accounting Firm and the NCUA annually.
